At 3,143 meters, Mount Fansipan is the highest mountain in Indochina and an absolute must-see for adventurous hikers. Located in the Hoang Lien Son mountain range in Vietnam's Lao Cai province, it is the tallest peak of the entire mountain range and offers some of the best hiking trails in South East Asia. Mount Fansipan's summit rewards travelers with stunning views of the surrounding area - from lush green forests to cascading waterfalls. Due to its rugged terrain, challenging climbing routes and unpredictable weather, Mount Fansipan has earned itself a reputation as one of the most difficult peaks to climb in Indochina. For visitors to Sapa, a trek up Mount Fansipan - which can be completed over one to two days or three days - should not be missed!
